French International School Pondicherry
Enroll in the Lycée Français
The admissions process is simple: visit the school campus with your child or arrange a virtual meeting with school representatives online. Your first step is to fill this basic contact form. (contact us here).
Complete the online admission form and for primary school, please also download and complete the information form.
For children aged 6 and over, a short baseline assessment will take place for level-appropriate registration. This test does NOT require knowledge of French.

Documents to provide
- Copy of school reports from the previous year
- 2 photographs
- Exeat: certificate of deregistration from the previous establishment
- Copy of the family book, for students of French nationality
- Copy of birth certificate, for students of Indian nationality
- Copy of passport for students of another nationality
Admission procedure
First step
- Contact Miss. CORNILLOT-APPAVOU Jade, Communication Advisor, via this e-mail address pro@lfpondichery.net or directly on the form on our site.
- Information, visit: every Friday at 4 p.m.
Second step
- Complete the online registration form.
- Download and complete the Admission Form. For an admission in Primary schools (Kindergarten and Elementary School), fill up the Fiche de Renseignements Primaire as well.
- Prepare the documents to be provided (list above)
Third Step
PRIMARY- 3/10 years (Kindergarten and Elementary)
- Contact Mrs. LAPORTE, primary secretary, secretaireprimaire@lfpondichery.net to make an appointment with Mrs. HOULETTE, Director of the Primary School.
SECONDARY - 11/17 years (Middle and High School)
- Contact Mrs. DINAGARAN, secondary secretary, secretairesecondaire@lfpondichery.net to make an appointment with Mr. BIENAIME, CPE.
Fourth step
After your appointment either:
- A test is necessary:
- Passing the test and consulting the team
- Three possible outcomes:
- Conclusive test: payment and integration
- Test to be confirmed: 15-day trial period, assessment, integration or refusal
- Inconclusive test: no integration
- A test is not necessary:
- Payment of registration fees (see here the financial regulations)
- Read and sign the Primary school’s rules and regulations or the Secondary and Higher-secondary school’s rules and regulations.
- Immediate integration
School Fees
School fees are all-inclusive and there are no hidden fees. Most importantly, no donation is requested. The fee structure is transparent.
School fees include all activities mentioned in the timetable. Also, there are no costs related to uniforms as there are no uniforms in the school. For kindergarten and primary school children, books and notebooks are also provided as part of the school fee.

Scholarships
For French nationals, scholarship application files accompanied by supporting documents must be submitted to the Consulate General of France in Pondicherry for students of the Lycée français international de Pondicherry.
