School Life

French International School Pondicherry

Life at the Lycée Français

The school life service is composed of a Principal Education Advisor, and four education assistants.

Its mission is to “place adolescents in the best conditions for individual and collective life, academic success and personal development” (Circular of 10/08/2015).

Indeed, students’ lives are not limited to their school hours. Their learning continues outside the classroom, in contact with their peers and all the staff of the institution.

The fundamental objective is to train students to become successful adults and citizens at the end of their schooling.

More specifically, on a daily basis, the department participates in the respect of the internal regulations, in its understanding and in its implementation.

Internal Regulations

clubs and extracurricular activities

School clubs and activities allow students to broaden their interests, consolidate their skills, but also to experience fun and friendly moments.

They are organized throughout the year during the students’ free time (lunchtime, end of day, Wednesday afternoon) and are led by the various staff members of the school, or in partnership with outside facilitators.

Sports, cultural, artistic activities… students will certainly find what they are looking for among the many activities offered at the school.

The Council for School Life

The Council for School Life (CVE) is a decision-making body representing the students of the middle and high school.

It is composed of ten students elected from among the students, accompanied by adults responsible for guiding them in the preparation and implementation of their projects.

Led by the Principal Education Advisor (CPE), the CVE is at the origin of many events, developments and initiatives for the benefit of all students.

We present you with an overview of the latest activities.

House of High Schoolers

The aim of the House of High Schoolers (Maison des lycéens) is to make the life of students at the lycée more attractive and fun. It is largely managed by the students themselves.

For example, it offers the lending of sports equipment (badminton rackets and basketballs) during breaks (particularly at lunchtime and at the beginning and end of the day).

In addition, it is intended to contribute financially to school outings and festive events within the school. This makes it possible to make trips accessible to as many people as possible and to organise large-scale events.

Canteen

LFIP is pleased to welcome students to the school cafeteria every day for lunch.

For your information, a special committee meets every month to prepare the meals.
