Visit of Katie Bagli at the FISP

Grade 5 children and grade 8 English SI students were thrilled to meet Mumbai’s best loved children’s author and nature lover, Katie Bagli today. Katie talked about her book Sangla, a Valley of Strange Happenings and students were able to ask her questions about her love of writing and her other books.

Katie told the children that she takes her inspiration from her walks in nature where she loves to explore all the living creatures one can find there. She is a great story teller and has conducted many sessions in many schools across India. She also conducts various workshops on nature and wildlife. She has received several awards for her contributions to literature. Katie also encouraged children to read regularly and our budding writers to get their books published. Katie is also Director Education for Jane Goodall’s organisation Roots and Shoots. We thank Mrs Naik, Executive Director of Roots and Shoots India for her help in organising this visit.
