Screen printing is an art form that dates back to the ancient Egyptian and Roman civilisations. It is a versatile printing method that pushes ink through a stenciled mesh screen onto a surface (like fabric, paper, wood, or plastic) using a squeegee, creating durable and vibrant designs, commonly seen on t-shirts, posters, and signs.
Exploring this modernised, ancient method of art, our students from grade 9 participated in a screen printing workshop at Pondicherry. It was a great opportunity for the students to showcase their artistic skills using this method to print colourful designs on t-shirts and fabrics.
The way our students handled the printing frames and followed the printing procedure was an interesting sight to see. It is always a joy to see our students growing on holistic education.
