A play written by the students of CM2 A of The French International School of Pondicherry.

It was written in Mme Mehra's English class in March 2020.

Once upon a time there was a planet called Earth and it was very polluted.The excessive use of technology was destroying it. There was hardly any water to drink, there wasn't enough food, there was practically nothing left on it!
Due to the Coronavirus people were dying in large numbers. Earth was in a bad shape!
One day Michael, the gardener planted a special seed from which grew an extraordinary tree. One could think of something to eat or drink and pluck a leaf and the leaf would turn into what the person thought!
Two intelligent women Anne and Margaret invent tele portable watches that can transport people and then they can disintegrate in the nature!
Anne: "Let's invent something which can teleport people to another planet."
Margaret: "Good idea and it should be biodegradable."
Anne and Margaret: "Wow, look it works, we are on Saturn! And back again on Earth!" "Let's show it to James."
They rush to see James.
Margaret: "Look James what we've invented!" "We've invented something which can teleport people to another planet."
Anne: "And it is biodegradable!"
Anne and Margaret: "Try it."
They ask James to try one.James has an idea he goes to Michael, the gardener.
James: Michael can you please give me a branch of your magic tree? I'm going to the planet Mars and I would like to plant it there.
Michael: "Sure, I'll bring it immediately."
So, James teleports himself to Mars with a branch and some leaves of the extraordinary tree.He plants the branch on Mars and to his surprise within a week, it becomes a tree.
The tree: I feel so happy to be on this new planet!
With the use of telepathy, James asks Anne and Margaret to join him on Mars which has more oxygen and water now, thanks to the tree! All the three live there for twenty years, they plant lots of different plants and trees. Then they call Michael to join them too. Now Mars becomes a green and blue planet, it has a lot of oxygen and rain! A few insects and birds come to Mars!
Mars: Thank you friends for making me feel so good. I was so lonely and bored for so many years! Thanks to you all I can breathe the fresh air now!
Slowly Mars became so green that the very few people who were still alive on Earth could see it as a green and not a red planet anymore!Since it was impossible to live on Earth they wanted to sincerely live on Mars. Anne and Margaret knew what the people on Earth felt, through telepathy, so they came down to earth and teleported all the humans and the few animals that were left to Mars!
(Pollution/Destruction): Ha! Ha! Ha!See what I can do!!!
A few seconds after they left, the Earth exploded!!!
Luckily the last few humans and animals were safe on Mars!
After 500 years the Earth starts living again! The process of evolution starts all over again, but it was much faster this time, Plants evolved from Mater, and Animals from Plants, and finally Humans from the Animals. The air was fresh again, free from pollution. And this time the humans had learnt their lesson, they lived a healthier life without technology, they used advanced telepathy!
Earth: I feel so good now, was it all a nightmare??
