We recently had the pleasure of welcoming Valérie Gaudart, the author of the book “Ellora and the four runes of regeneration”, to LFIP. The novel tells the story of a 17-year-old French-Indian girl who embarks on a journey from Pondicherry to Paris. This history is particularly important to the author because of the links between the Pondicherry High School.
During her visit, Valérie said that part of the school’s premises belonged to her family before they donated it to the institution. It was an experience that moved her deeply as she was visiting the facility for the first time, having grown up with stories about this place. The author also exchanged with the students, who were happy to ask her questions on the themes of writing, books and stories.
It’s always exciting to hear authors talk about their personal connection to their work, and Valerie’s visit was no exception.
His visit reminded us that the love of stories and literature is universal. It was comforting to see the lively interaction between the author and the students who were delighted with these exchanges. We hope that Valerie’s visit will inspire more young minds to enjoy reading and writing.
