School Trip to Kodaikanal of the 10 Graders – April 2025

From April 20th to 25th, 2025, the 10th graders of the French International School of Pondicherry had the opportunity to explore Kodaikanal, a renowned hill station in the Tamil Nadu region.

Located over 2,000 meters above sea level, Kodaikanal provided a refreshing break from Pondicherry’s summer heat. This educational trip combined academic discovery, cultural immersion, and group bonding in an inspiring natural setting.

Highlights included:

  • A guided tour of a local chocolate factory to learn about the production process;
  • A behind-the-scenes look at a traditional bakery;
  • Hands-on experience at a mushroom farm, made possible by the region’s cool climate;
  • An exchange visit to a music school in Kodaikanal;
  • Walks, cultural visits, and outdoor relaxation.

The students also gained insights into the environmental and economic realities of life in the hills, while forging connections with the local community.

A heartfelt thank-you to our partners and staff who supported the trip, and congratulations to our students for their curiosity, participation, and team spirit!

A recap video created by the students is available on our YouTube channel.
